This is a non-profit-making website devoted to an appreciation of the TeleVision series, The Champions, created by Monty Berman and Dennis Spooner, and produced in 1966 by the Incorporated Television Co. Ltd. (ITC). It has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, the current copyright holders, and has been created as an archival information resource. It is dedicated, with respect, to the people who made the seriesboth those who performed before the camera, and those whose skills were exercised behind it. Especially, it is here to celebrate the imagination and humanity of storyteller Dennis Spooner and his team of writers, and for Lord Lew Grade, without whom much of the television now revered as classic would never have come into being. | | |

AN APOLOGY |
This website was forged a hundred years ago, in the crucible of cross-platform compatibility, at a time when the average screen resolution was 640 x 480 pixels and it took thirty seconds to download a 300 x 400 pixel JPEG
Things have changed since then, and the content now appears rather small and lost, but to redesign and recreate its countless pages, in order to exploit latterday widescreen aesthetics and broadband access speeds, is a task that would challenge even someone with the enhanced abilities of a survivor of a plane crash in the mountains of Tibet. |
So, reluctantly, I have decided that it will have to remain as it isfor the present. |
Besides, that screen magnification tool is pretty effective, Ive found
