Richard Barrett is abducted. Why? Who are his captors? And who is the beautiful girl involved?

Intruders break into Nemesis H.Q. in Geneva and steal a file on Richard Barrett (WILLIAM GAUNT); and Richard, curious to know what is happening, allows himself to be kidnapped by two men—Brandon (TONY CAUNTER) and Orley (CHARLES HOUSTON)—who arrive in a stolen van and say they have some to collect a carpet for cleaning. They take the carpet as well as Richard, who later finds himself in a very luxurious apartment and facing a very lovely girl who introduces herself as Samantha (JENNIE LINDEN).

Craig Stirling (STUART DAMON) has meanwhile discovered that Richard has been smuggled out of the country inside the carpet and has been taken to London. He follows.

The reason for his kidnapping becomes clear to Richard when a man named Symons (JOHN CARSON) comes into the room in which he is being held and tells him that his ability to break codes has been confirmed from his record in the file. And Symons has a code he wants Richard to break for him. He says, blandly, that he has the whip hand, not merely because Richard is his prisoner, but because unless he agrees to break the code, the attractive Samantha will be killed. It’s up to Richard to save her life.

Samantha, though in the plot to some extent, is unaware that she is the hostage. The threat to her becomes very real when, to her shocked surprise, she is double-crossed by Symons.

Richard breaks the code and is forced to reveal it if Samantha is to survive the poison gas that is slowly sapping her life away. But Symons is unaware that she has warned friends of the plight she might find herself in—even more unaware of the remarkable powers possessed by Richard and Craig.

On the point of triumph, Symons finds the tables turned, and what might also prove to be a triumph for Samantha in a matter of industrial espionage has a very hollow ring to it...
